A global fashion retailer with operations across Europe set out to build an unprecedented multi-country ecommerce platform. The goal was ambitious: launch what would become the world's largest B2C SAP Commerce deployment, spanning multiple countries, languages, and regional supply chains on a single unified platform.

The advisory scope covered platform architecture, headless commerce strategy, and program governance. The recommended approach combined a headless SAP Commerce backend with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM/CQ) for content delivery, enabling editorial teams to manage multi-country campaigns independently of the commerce layer.

Integration complexity was significant. The architecture required connections to SAP ERP, an enterprise Product Content Management system, and a full Order Management System, alongside a custom caching and ATP (Available to Promise) strategy designed to handle high-traffic demand peaks across regional markets simultaneously.

The first market, France, launched on schedule. The platform subsequently expanded across multiple European markets. The implementation was recognized as the largest B2C SAP Commerce rollout globally at the time of launch and became an industry reference case for large-scale multi-country SAP Commerce deployments.
